Lots 539-551 This private collection of kingfisher jewellery was originally owned by the Viceroy of Min-Zhe, who served in the Qing government from 1898 to 1903. According to the descendant of the Viceroy, this collection is largely gifts from the Emperor Guangxu and Empress Dowager Cixi, and thence by descent to the present owner.
Lots 555-570 The majority of this private collection of snuff bottles was purchased from Robert Kleiner & Co. Ltd., London.
