A Chinese rock crystal incense burner and cover, the base marked with six characters which read 'Qianlong yu lan zhi bao' (treasure seen by the Emperor), and perhaps of the period, the body with lion mask and ring handles, the cover surmounted by a Buddhist lion, and each side carved with peony, 11.5cm. (2)
Provenance: formerly in the collection of Oscar and Inge Oxholm. Oscar Oxholm was the Danish Envoy in Beijing and Shanghai 1923-39.
