An unusual carved amber and mother of pearl snuff bottle four character Qianlong mark and of the period 1736-95, with a flattened ovoid body formed from two amber panels carved with stylized flowers and foliage, joined around the edges with mother of pearl, 9cm wide.
It is possible the amber panels are of earlier manufacture, possibly late Ming or early Qing dynasty.
