A Japanese tanto 19th century
A Japanese tanto 19th century, the flat blade with suguha tempering, signed Ujiyoshi, mounted in an aventurine lacquered scabbard, fitted with a shakudo Kaga school tsuba, other mounts in silver carved as crashing waves, gilt menuki carved as tigers, with an 18th century brocade bag, the blade 28.5cm.
