λ A large Goan ivory carving of Christ the Good Shepherd 17th/18th century, constructed in three sections, depicting Christ with a lamb on his shoulder and his knee above a complex arrangement of figures and sheep, and with a Nativity scene below, carved as a mountain, decorated with stylized acanthus leaves, 45.5cm.

Provenance: from the collection of Luís Esteves Fernandes (1897-1988).
