A Chinese hardwood and lacquered eight-legged stand 19th century, the octagonal top decorated in gilt with four pagodas in a mountainous landscape, the apron pierced with ruyi head-shaped panels above slender legs which elegantly curve to the base further decorated with a gilt floral roundel and stylized leaf designs, 94cm high x 51cm wide.

Provenance: Field Marshal Earl Kitchener of Khartoum (1850-1916), and thence by descent.
