A RARE CHINESE GILT BRONZE INCENSE BURNER AND COVER, DING
18TH CENTURY
The rectangular body raised on four scroll-ended feet, with a flange to each corner and with two upright strap handles decorated with chevrons, cast in high relief with panels containing small birds and insects with prunus, pine, lotus and chrysanthemum, all encircled by inscribed leaf designs, the cover depicting elaborate peony flowers and with a Buddhist lion dog forming the finial, 18cm high.
