A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE GU-SHAPED VASE AND A BLUE AND WHITE BALUSTER VASE
LATE QING DYNASTY
The gu-shaped vase painted with panels with ladies engaged in leisurely pursuits, surrounded by birds amongst leafy floral branches, the blue and white vase painted with xuangxi characters set against dense floral scrolls, each with a paper label for Christie's, 34cm and 36.5cm. (2)
Provenance: from a British private collection, formed 1970-2003, the former purchased from Christie's London, on 5th February 1998, lot 269; the latter purchased from Christie's London, on 22nd January 1998, lot 438.
