A JAPANESE SATSUMA VASE BY KINKOZAN
MEIJI ERA, 19TH/20TH CENTURY

The tall ovoid body decorated with two rectangular panels enclosing luxuriant gardens, one side with small birds pecking underneath wisteria and by a meandering stream, the reverse with further blooms and bamboo, on a dark mottled ground embellished with further floral designs and scrolling tendrils in gilt, the base signed Kinkozan zo, 26cm.
