A Chinese blue and white jardinière c.1640, painted with scholars and their attendants, painted in a continuous river landscape scene, with one figure standing on a rocky promontory, looking over at fishing boats beneath the moon, the base with a faint star crack, 20cm. Provenance: a private American collection. Purchased from Imperial Oriental Art, New York, 3rd April 2002.
