A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE 'SLEEVE' VASE
TRANSITIONAL C.1640
Brightly painted with a roundel containing a rabbit which sits beneath a flowering tree before a lingzhi fungus and floats above jardinières and elaborate vases containing lotus, narcissus, prunus, plantain, orchids and rockwork, the waisted neck and foot incised with anhua bands of scrollwork, the rim has blue pendant lappets, paper label for Lally & Co, New York no. 4513 to the base, 46.4cm.
