A RARE NEPALESE GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF TARA

12TH CENTURY OR POSSIBLY LATER

Standing in tribhanga, with a lotus flower at her shoulder, wearing an elaborate headdress set with three red beads and with her right hand extended, her body is draped in a diaphanous dothi, all raised on a double lotus base, 13.5cm.

Provenance: purchased in Holland in 1987.
