A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE MING STYLE BOWL

PROBABLY YONGZHENG

After the Xuande original painted with stylised bands with interlaced scrolls and flowerheads, the exterior with a band of square scrolls above formal lappets, the base with a six characer Xuande mark, 15.7cm.

Provenance: from the collection of David and Margaret Mellis, Presbyterian missionaries in China, c.1900-1914.
