One depicting a boy riding upon the back of a water buffalo, the other the si xi tong zi holding ruyi sceptres, 4.3cm. (2)

Provenance: Lt. Col. Edmund Whitehead (1870-1945), an interpreter for the British Army who served in Beijing c.1890, and thence by descent.
