A RARE CHINESE PALE CELADON JADE 'MARRIAGE' BOWL

QIANLONG 1736-95

Crisply carved with two handles each formed as a finely detailed butterfly from which loose ring handles are suspended, the well carved in relief with blossoming flowers and a smaller bud set within a design of overlapping and intertwined leaves, raised on four curved feet, 21.5cm.

Provenance: John Sparks Ltd., London 29th November 1954 for £150, and by repute C.T. Loo and the Carellas Collection.
