A RARE CHINESE RHINOCEROS HORN ARCHAISTIC LIBATION CUP SIGNED XUAN HE
17TH/18TH CENTURY
With a flared hexagonal body carved in shallow relief on each side with two large stylised taotie masks beneath a band of square scrolls, the handle carved as an chilong with an exaggerated scrolling mane and bifurcated tail, the straight foot with a second band of square scrolls, the base with a two character mark, 201g, 13.8cm wide.
