A CHINESE CORAL-RED AND GILT TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER AND COVER

LATE QING DYNASTY

The compressed circular body painted with three dragons and Buddhist symbols, with a band of ruyi-heads to the shoulder, two loop handles rising from the rim decorated with key fret and floral sprays, the base with a dragon roundel containing a six character Qianlong seal mark, together with a wood cover with a jade lingzhi knop and a wood stand, 14.5cm.

Provenance: an English private collection, Hampshire, acquired in the early 20th century.
