Formed from six ingots connected by chain links, together with a handwritten note, 11cm, 212g.
The note is inscribed: 'Silver bracelet, given by Sir Peter Lewesden (sic.) to Mrs Gordon of Newton in 1900. The silver was part of the indemnity ordered by the British government for the murder of Mr De Norman and Mr Bowlby on the 8th of October 1860 ...'
