A CHINESE LAQUE BURGAUTE FOUR TIER HEXAGONAL BOX
17TH/18TH CENTURY
The foliate body decorated with black lacquer and finely inlaid with mother of pearl with figures in a garden by a pavilion and a weeping willow to the cover enclosed within a diaper border, the sides with quatrefoil panels containing figures, birds and other animals against a cash-ground, the foot with a band of lappets, a seal mark inlaid to the underside, 23cm. (5)
