A CHINESE DARK BLUE-GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK SURCOAT
LATE QING DYNASTY
Decorated with eight large and six small roundels of fruiting bottle gourd vines embellished with butterflies, all above a wide wave border, 140cm across, 186cm long.
Provenance: acquired in China in the 1930s by the current owner's great-grandmother.
