One painted with a figure drinking wine in a garden beneath a pine tree, he stands by a qin with two smaller attendants by his side, the other depicting armed warriors riding on horseback through a rough landscape with a flag-bearer running beside them, each contained in a wood frame, 36.5cm x 24.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of Joseph Alexander Thomson (d.c.1950) who worked in Hangzhou, and thence by descent.
