A BURMESE MANDALAY-STYLE LACQUERED AND GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI

19TH CENTURY

Depicted seated in dhyanasana wearing pleated samghati, his right hand touches the ground in bhumisparsha mudra whilst his left hand rests on his lap in dhyana mudra, with his downcast eyes picked out in black and white, all raised on a simple shaped pedestal, 43cm, 10kg.
