AN INDIAN PINK SANDSTONE CARVING OF VISHNU VAIKUNTHA

The four-armed deity stands in tribhanga with his right hand raised, depicted in his supreme manifestation with his human face flanked by animal heads, wearing elaborate body jewellery and a tall crown, with a small three-headed figure seated on a pedestal above, all supported on a modern stand, 57cm.
Provenance: from a Belgian private collection, acquired from Henri Berger, Beringen, Belgium in the mid 1980s.
