A LARGE CHINESE ZITAN BRUSHPOT, BITONG
QING DYNASTY
The cylindrical body carved in low relief with birds perched amidst prunus and bamboo in a rocky landscape, the rim encircled by a band of inlaid silver wire 'T' scrolls, with an inscription below describing the author with Chen Meigong and Xiang Yi'an admiring this piece at Liangxi, with a date for the second year of the Chongzhen Emperor's reign corresponding to 1630 and a signature reading Dong Qichang, 30cm dia.
