A large collection of Aborigine stone implements from Woomera, collected by H. R. Balfour; including scrapers, pirris, crescents, tuhlas, knives. Many are loose with the location of find, including Fred's Swamp, Roxby Downs, Shell Lagoon, Andambooka, and Philips Pond. Other are in sealed envelopes. With two pamphlets regarding Aboriginal Art and Words, a photograph by Balfour of Billabong Creek, with four figures in the foreground, four Christmas cards by Balfour, each with a photograph of Aborigines or artefacts.
Harry Rainy Balfour (1875 - 1962) Australian anthropologist and photographer, worked mainly in the Kimberley and Northern Territory. He donated collections to the British Museum and Melborne Museum.
