'Art in Industry' a Clarice Cliff Wilkinson's Pottery Bizarre dinner service, designed by Billie Waters, painted with a deer leaping past a stylised tree, the borders with wavy line and dot motif, in shades of grey and black, comprising; two large tureen and covers, two small tureen and covers, two saucers, a large platter, twelve dinner, entree and side plates printed factory marks, facsimile signatures platter 42cm. wide.
This design was produced for the 1934 British Art in Industry exhibition, an exhibition designed to bring artists and designers together and to display the strength of British manufacturing.
