The sale includes 300 lots produced by Burmantofts Faience pottery and is the finest selection to come to auction. It covers all aspects of the factories output including tiles, architectural panels, conservatory heaters and jardinieres complimenting a variety of vases and grotesque fancies. There are important signed examples of work by artists including William Neatby and Leonard King whilst also including works previously undocumented in the factories output. This collection will be exhibited alongside our Arts and Crafts auction and will provide a unique opportunity to view and handle Burmantofts varied production and compare it to contemporary works by the Martin Brothers, William De Morgan, Doulton and Minton's Art Pottery.
