Archibald Wells (1874-) 'The Cymbals Player' an oil on canvas, in original oak frame, with painted monogram and potted orange trees painted monogram to frame image 65 x 55cm. Archibald Wells was born in Glasgow moving to Australia as a child where he studied art in Sydney. He returned to Britain, settling in Rye, Sussex and his work was exhibited at the New English Art Club in 1918.
