Catalogue notes
Originally established as a knitwear business in 1966, Mike and Ritva Ross created 'The Ritva Man' label in 1969. The aim was to collaborate with artists including David Hockney, Elisabeth Frink, Allen Jones and Patrick Hughes, to produce a limited range of knitwear. Originally intended to be issued in an edition of 200, it is thought that fewer than this were actually produced.
