A large and impressive Burmantoft's Faience Partie-Colour jardiniere and stand probably designed by Joseph Walmsley, the ovoid bowl modelled in low relief with two peacocks displaying in a formal garden landscape, the knopped cylindrical base with stylised flowers, in shades of blue, turquoise, green, ochre and yellow, impressed and painted marks, minor glaze loss, 103cm. high, 55cm. diam.
